The Consecration of the Frederick Lawson Lodge No. 9185 took place at the Beaconsfield Masonic Centre, at 15:00 on the 8th March 1986

Including the Consecrating team, 89 Brethren whose names, ranks and Lodges are recorded in the minute book attended the Consecration.
Before proceeding with the Consecration, the Provincial Grand Master spoke of the sudden and unexpected death of W. Bro. George A Gibb, P.A.G.D.C., Assistant Provincial Grand Master. The Brethren stood to order as a tribute to departed merit.
The Consecrating Officer having addressed the Brethren on the motive of the meeting then called W. Bro. Rev. T.R. Boyle, P. Prov. G. Chaplain to give the opening prayer.
The Warrant was read by W. Bro. Dr. R.G. Fender, Prov. Asst. G. Secretary.
The Petitioners unanimously approved the Officers named in the Warrant.
The Chaplain, W. Bro. Rev. T.R. Boyle,, P. Prov. G. Chaplain gave a most interesting and moving oration on the Nature and Principles of the Institution drawing a parallel with and examples from the life of the distinguished brother after whom the Lodge is named.
After an Anthem by the Choir, the Chaplain gave the first part of the Dedication Prayer.
The Lodge Board was uncovered and the Consecrating Officer perambulated scattering Corn, the symbol of Plenty, poured Wine, the symbol of Joy and Cheerfulness and poured Oil, the symbol of Peace and Unanimity. Salt was sprinkled as the symbol of Friendship and Fidelity.
The Lodge was Dedicated by the Consecrating Officer.
W. Bro. Rev. T.R. Boyle, P. Prov. G. Chaplain delivered the Patriarchal Benediction.
R.W. Bro. Lt. Col. The Rt. Hon. Lord Burnham, D.L., Provincial Grand Master invited W. Bro. Eric J Deung, P.S.G.D., Deputy Provincial Grand Master to take the Chair as Installing Master for Business of the meeting. The Director of Ceremonies W. Bro. R. K. C. Holton, P.A.G.D.C., presented W. Bro. H.H. Deacon, D.F.C., P.A.G.D.C., Prov. G. Sec., to the Installing Master who, calling attention of the Master Elect to the necessary qualifications Installed W. Bro. H.H. Deacon, D.F.C., P.A.G.D.C., Prov. G. Sec., as the first Master of the Frederick Lawson Lodge No. 9185 in an excellent manner.
The Warrant of the Lodge was presented to the Master by the R.W. Bro. Lt. Col. The Rt. Hon. Lord Burnham, D.L., Provincial Grand Master.
The W.M. then appointed and invested his officers as listed below:

The S.W. proposed and the J.W. seconded that on this occasion and this occasion only, the election of the Treasurer be left in the hands of the W.M. The motion was carried and Bro. Brian Webb was declared Treasurer.
The Secretary proposed and the Treasurer seconded that Bro. Wes Hyde be elected Tyler of the Lodge. The motion was carried and Bro. Wes Hyde was appointed and invested as Tyler.
- The address to the W.M. was given by W. Bro. Stanley A. Cayzer, P.S.G.D., L.G.R., Assistant Provincial Grand Master.
- The address to the Wardens was given by, W. Bro. K.C. Speaks, Prov. S.G.W.
- The address to the Brethren was given by, W. Bro. F.D.W. Fall, Prov. J.G.W.
- The S.W. proposed and the J.W. seconded that the Lodge adopt the by-laws and the subscriptions recommended by the founders. The motion was carried.
The W.M. Proposed that the Consecrating Officers be elected Honorary Members of the Lodge. The S.W. seconded the proposition which was carried unanimously by the Brethren.
On the second rising, the Secretary announced that he had received three propositions for Joining members:
- Bro. William Anthony Shakespeare. Proposed by the W.M. & seconded by the J.W.
- Bro. Frank Carrie. Proposed by the W.M. & seconded by the Secretary.
- Bro. Geoffrey Clive Wilkins, proposed by the Secretary & seconded by the S.W.
The Secretary then read the propositions for Initiation:
- Mr. Walter Allan Jones, proposed by Bro. Tom Jones and seconded by W. Bro. David Ogborn.
- Mr. Glyn Peter Fletcher and Mr Martin Paul Fletcher, both proposed and seconded by Bro. David Milne and Bro. Brian Webb respectively.
The Alms collection raised £96.00.
The lodge was closed in peace and harmony at 18:00hrs.
Frederick Lawson Lodge No.9185 was the first Lodge to be Consecrated at the Beaconsfield Masonic Centre.
